The Rajasthan government has officially opened the online application window for the Mukhyamantri Anuprati Coaching Yojana 2026-27, one of the most impactful free coaching schemes for meritorious students from economically weaker sections. What Is the CM Anuprati Coaching Scheme?
The Mukhyamantri Anuprati Coaching Yojana was launched by the Rajasthan government to bridge the gap between financial constraints and competitive exam preparation. Under this scheme, the government bears the entire coaching fee for selected candidates at empanelled coaching institutes. The fee is paid directly by the government to the institute, meaning the student pays nothing out of pocket for coaching.
Additionally, students who relocate to another city for coaching receive up to Rs. 40,000 per year in financial support for accommodation and food expenses, transferred directly to their bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The scheme covers 30,000 seats annually with a total budget allocation of Rs. 56.40 crore for the 2026-27 session.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

The scheme is open to students from the following categories who are domiciled in Rajasthan.

- OBC (Other Backward Classes)

Income Limit
The annual family income must not exceed Rs. 8 lakh. Children of state government employees whose pay is at or below Pay-Matrix Level 11 are also eligible regardless of the Rs. 8 lakh ceiling.
Additional Eligibility Conditions
The student must be currently enrolled in a recognised school or college in Rajasthan. Only students who are genuinely preparing for a competitive examination listed under the scheme are considered. How Selection Works: Merit-Based, Not Lottery
There is no entrance examination for this scheme. Selection is based entirely on a merit list prepared by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department using academic performance. The merit list is prepared separately for each exam, each category, and each district.
Merit Calculation Formula
For RBSE (Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education) students, the Class 10 or Class 12 percentage is taken as-is. For CBSE or other board students, the percentage is multiplied by a coefficient of 0.9 before being used for merit calculation. This adjustment standardises scores across different board systems.
For example, a student with 90% in CBSE will have an effective merit score of 81%, while an RBSE student with 90% will retain a full 90% for merit purposes. CBSE students should therefore aim higher to stay competitive in the merit list.
Exams and Seats: How Many Students Will Be Selected?
Based on previous session data, the scheme distributes its 30,000 seats across all covered examinations in proportion to applicant numbers and category-wise availability. In 2025-26, the scheme benefited 22,714 students in Rajasthan alone. For 2026-27, the target has been expanded. Every seat comes with fully funded coaching and, for outstation students, the Rs. 40,000 annual living expense support.

Your effective merit score will be 85 multiplied by 0.9, which equals 76.5 percent. This is the score that will be used to generate the merit list for your category and chosen examination. Since RBSE students retain their full percentage, CBSE students need to have scored significantly higher to compete on equal footing. An RBSE student with 76.5% and a CBSE student with 85% will have the same effective merit score under this formula.
Q3. Can I apply for coaching for two different exams in the same year, for example both NEET and JEE?
No. The scheme allows each eligible student to choose and apply for only one competitive examination per application cycle. You must decide your priority exam before submitting the application, as you cannot change your exam choice after submission. Choose the exam that aligns most closely with your career goal. If you are genuinely preparing for both NEET and JEE simultaneously, select the one where you are more likely to succeed based on your academic background.
